Round Vase, Blue/Purple & Natural

This lovely wood-fired vase has the infamous "Bogus Blue" glaze which varies from purple (thinly applied) to bright blue. The top half of the pot is "naked" i.e. no glaze and simply "glazed" by the wood ash in the kiln. A flashlight will reveal that the inside was also glazed with the Bogus Blue and is blue and purple. 5" tall, 6" diameter at its widest point.
$ 55.00

Green and Black Bottle

An elegant 8" bottle with a dirty secret. The green is so gorge because of its thick application. And it ran in the kiln. And got stuck to the kiln shelf. Surgery (aka grinding) was performed but the bottom is a little bit not-so-gorge. But you'll never know unless you continually pick it up to observe. So it's a second.

(Not for sale...yet) Some Raku Pots

A little collection of hand built (3) and thrown (2) pots that were raku fired. The four small ones were using what's called "one-step" and the taller one via "two-step". Each piece has been treated after the fact first with a fixative spray, then with a fancy schmancy museum quality wax and finally with a UV-resistant gloss spray. Because they have no glaze, these pieces are porous and not meant to hold water.
